As the designer, I wanted all the actors to have a base costume and corresponding color, with added components for specific numbers. The base costumes were black and white, and the added pieces in corresponding colors. The women had hair accessories and jewelry in their assigned color that they wore the entire show, and the men had colored suspenders.

Production Shot. The song in this shot was a classic hippie anthem, and I wanted the singer to have a bohemian feel, so I included a flower crown and a floral print kimono with fringe.

Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. The lead singer in this number was wearing a white jacket with musical notes appliquéd onto the sleeves and back. My design involved a classic Freddie Mercury outfit, but time and resources required I pull this from stock.

'I Wanna Dance With Somebody/Shut Up and Dance With Me Mashup' by Whitney Houston and Walk The Moon. This was one of the first songs in the performance. It was a dance heavy number, so the actors just wore their base costumes for ease of movement.

'80's Girl Rock Medley.' This was the all female number, consisting of multiple classic female rock numbers. I wanted a classic 80's look, so they all wore bedazzled leg warmers in their assigned colors. I then added hair scrunchies and other 80's accessories.

'True Colors' by Cyndi Lauper. This number took place immediately after the 80's Rock Medley, so the girls were still in their full 80's costume.

'Boy Band Medley.' As a response, to the 80s medley, the boys put together a 90s boy band medley. I wanted to put the boys in stereotypical 90s boy band attire. So they all had their base suspenders, and then they all had one accessory, including sweatbands, sideways visors, backwards caps, and oversized shirts.

'Shout' by Otis Day and the Knights. This was the biggest number in the show. The lighting designer had planned some very intense lighting effects to go along with the music. Not wanting to overwhelm the audience with extra costumes along with the lights, I decided to keep them in their base costumes, allowing the lights and the music to be the focus.

'Beatles Medley.' This is one of the last numbers in the show. It was a medley of Beatles songs, and a very calm number. I decided to keep them in their base costumes in order to visually echo the calm simplicity of the music.

'Over The Rainbow.' This was the final number of the show. For this number, I wanted the performers to be in just their base costumes, so the music would be what the audience focused on.
